Organizational and Leadership Structure
The management and leadership structures were organized to most effectively administer the Resource Cores and Enrichment Program to a diverse research community and to expand membership to new investigators committed to musculoskeletal studies. This structure reflects the center investigators, who have diverse scientific backgrounds with research programs studying virtually all musculoskeletal tissues and with laboratories located throughout campus. The Leadership Team (Center Directors, Core Directors), Internal Advisory Panel, External Advisory Panel, and the Resource Cores were structured to match this scientific diversity and the distributed laboratory locations of the research community. Members of the Leadership Team have primary appointments across the UM campus. The Core Directors and Associate Directors were selected to have diverse and collectively balanced expertise in hard and soft tissue assays to provide the most impactful guidance to the center investigators and their staff and trainees.
